here’s a write-up of one of my favourite presentations!
With classy tailoring and softer silhouettes, the Markus Lupfer woman is someone who has an effortless sense of ease and style when dressing.
This season, the hemlines are longer, the materials lighter and the details more feminine, with hand-finished embroidery and occasional frills spread across the collection.
The colour palette has slight bohemian vibes to it, with pieces being made in aubergine, navy, forest green and dusty pink. Naturally, floral designs are abundant and the same floral motif occurs in different colours and fabrics, going from a striking print to an embroidered textile. There are flashes of metallic for the transition to eveningwear in the form of crepe dresses and luxurious outerwear pieces also dominate the collection, with spotlights on a chunky, sweeping cape and a studded black leather jacket.
The brand’s immediately recognisable touches come in the form of the knitwear. This season, their sequined merino wool sweaters star their studio pug, Leo, traced in gunmetal and silver and their cable knits are also traced in gold.
Accessories are also a big part of this collection with their eyewear being developed with Linda Farrow and their star-speckled and flower-adorned footwear being paired with equally adorable floral socks. Their handbag collection, which was introduced in Pre-Fall, continues to be developed and many items are now studded and heavily bedecked with jewels.
